<p>Earps won the award after she played a pivotal part in the Lionesses' path to the Women's World Cup final against Spain. WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Earps won the Golden Glove after her outstanding performances for England in the World Cup. Earps was selected the SJA Sportswoman of the Year, the BBC Women's Footballer of the Year, and the Sunday Times Sportswoman of the Year, as the accolades just kept coming for her performances.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>After the Women's World Cup, Earps forced Nike into a high-profile U-turn after the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/mary-earps-mania-england-women-goalkeeper-shirt-sells-out-80-minutes-lionesses-online-store/blt40c41d9e7404a9a0" target="_blank">manufacturer had refused to sell the replicas of her goalkeeper shirt</a>. After outcry over the decision, that saw the goalkeeper get involved as well, Nike have produced several runs of the jersey which have sold out almost immediately. </p>

DID YOU KNOW?

<p>Earps will return to action in the new year as the women's game breaks for the festive period. Her and Manchester United's first game when they return to action will be against Newcastle United in the FA Women's Cup on January 14.</p>
