Bayern Munich rejected again! Brighton star the latest to snub Vincent Kompany's side after Nico Williams and Florian Wirtz

<p>Bayern have been rejected again, this time by Brighton winger Mitoma, who <em>Bild </em>reports had no interest in making the switch to Bavaria, instead opting to stay in England and sign a new contract with the Seagulls. </p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>This marks another blow to Bayern’s summer plans, after previously being turned down by <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/barcelona-closer-sealing-nico-williams-transfer-weighing-up-bid-to-land-hansi-flick-target-arsenal-bayern-interest/blt7fd5ec80d8c3aa71" target="_blank">Nico Williams</a>, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/liverpool-bayer-leverkusen-florian-wirtz-bayern-munich-transfer-hijack/blt39d75ce6f6788f44" target="_blank">Florian Wirtz</a>, and <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/bayern-munich-luis-diaz-colombia-international-liverpool-launching-concrete-approach-winger/bltaba13bb96512960f" target="_blank">Luis Diaz</a>. Mitoma was seen as one of the last top-tier winger options left on Die Roten’s shortlist. The Japanese winger scored 10 goals and provided four assists in 36 league games last season, and has been a standout performer for the Seagulls. The club previously rejected offers from Saudi Arabia and his value continues to rise under Fabian Hurzeler.</p>

<p>Brighton’s head coach Hurzeler made it clear in an interview with Sky Sports: “I'm really looking forward to seeing him again on Thursday for preseason training. That's the plan.”</p><p>He added: “We look forward to continuing to work with him and trying to improve him, because I still think he hasn't reached his limit yet.” </p>

<p>Mitoma looks set to extend his Brighton contract as one of the club’s cornerstone players. For Bayern, the search for a top winger continues to drag on. With multiple high-profile rejections, the club may have to rethink its transfer priorities or widen its scouting net heading into the latter half of the window.</p>
