The defender's current deal expires in June 2025 and the club have made it clear that if he does not agree to sign a new deal, he will be sold off in the upcoming summer transfer window.

WHAT HAPPENED?

However, new Bayern boss Vincent Kompany is known to be an admirer of the Canadian and wants to keep him at the club beyond 2025. According to <a href="https://www.tz.de/sport/fc-bayern/muenchen-alphonso-davies-spaltet-die-bosse-des-fc-bayern-zr-93120645.html" target="_blank">tZ</a>, sporting director Max Eberl has started negotiating a fresh deal with the full-back once again. They are reportedly offering a salary in the region of €13 million (£11m/$14m) and €4 million (£3m/$4) in bonuses.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Los Blancos are yet to table a formal offer for the 23-year-old but the German side have reportedly set their asking price at €50 million (£43m/$54m) if they are forced to sell the player.
