According to <a href="https://thesun.co.uk/sport/25188611/man-utd-mason-greenwood-transfer-barcelona/" target="_blank"><em>The Sun</em></a>, Barcelona reportedly sent scouts to that match, as well as to the 1-0 home win against Valencia and <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/mason-greenwood-hurt-us-antoine-griezmann-atletico-madrid-couldnt-stop-man-utd-loanee-getafe-diego-simeone/blt94dc8c7ea1ce0c66" target="_blank">3-3 draw with Atletico Madrid</a> at the Wanda Metropolitano, to monitor whether he would suit the club's style of play.</p>

<p>According to that same report, the "overwhelming view" of the Blaugrana representatives is that Greenwood would be "tailor-made" for Camp Nou. The Catalan club are determined to land the 22-year-old and are thought to be leading the race in that regard. Any move by Barcelona <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/can-mason-greenwood-leave-man-utd-permanent-january-transfer-getafe/blt993f55d67caab9d4" target="_blank">would take place in the summer</a>, though, as they look set to face stiff competition from their league rivals.</p>
