WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Having burst onto the scene in 2021, becoming Copenhagen's youngest-ever player at the age of 16, Bardghji has been a consistent performer both domestically and in the Champions League. In Europe, he has led his team to some <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/copenhgen-roony-bardghji-heading-premier-league-chelsea-among-clubs-interested/blt2b1bafbf3acaebc7" target="_blank">famous victories,</a> including a 4-3 comeback win against Manchester United in 2023.</p>

<p>At just 19 years of age, Bardghji already has three Danish Superliga titles to his name, as well as two Danish Cups. His hugely promising start to life at Copenhagen was derailed last season as he spent most of the campaign sidelined with a knee injury, but that hasn't stopped a range of top European clubs — including <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/mason-greenwood-marseille-open-talks-with-copenhagen-sweden-wonderkid-roony-bardghji-porto/blt06303b381dd6728b" target="_blank">Ligue 1 outfit Marseille</a> — eyeing up a potential transfer.</p>

<p>Bardghji's current Copenhagen contract runs out in December 2025, and he has supposedly told the club he will not be penning a new deal.
