<p>Austin FC are finalizing plans to sign Brandon Vazquez from Monterrey in a deal worth more than $6 million, <a href="https://x.com/tombogert/status/1875948387033624651?s=46" target="_blank"><em>GiveMeSport's</em></a><em> </em>Tom Bogert reported. The No. 9, who has scored four goals in 11 appearances for the USMNT, is set to serve as the starting center forward for Austin.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Vazquez established himself as a consistent goalscorer in his first year with Monterrey, finding the net 14 times.<a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/usmnt-striker-brandon-vazquez-reportedly-in-talks-over-move-to-mls-side-san-jose-earthquakes/blt83d1a78c0c23a393" target="_blank"> San Jose Earthquakes were also reportedly in the running for the forward</a> - but the Texas side have reportedly done enough to get the deal over the line.</p>

<p>Vazquez previously played in MLS, scoring 28 and adding 12 assists across two seasons for FC Cincinnati. He also spent three years at Atlanta United. </p>
