<p>Atletico Madrid have announced the arrival of Alvarez from <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/julian-alvarez-set-to-leave-man-city-club-record--transfer-atletico-madrid-reach-total-agreement/blt71165617262ef265" target="_blank">City in a deal worth £82m (€95m).</a> Diego Simeone's side announced the move with a post on social media referencing <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/the-little-spider-julian-alvarez-explains-nickname-man-city/bltcca424c3629f79a4" target="_blank">Alvarez's 'Little Spider' nickname</a> and penchant for celebrating goals by imitating Spider Man moves. WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The club also issued the following statement: "Atlético de Madrid and Manchester City have reached an agreement for the transfer of Julián Alvarez, who has signed for the club until 2030. The 24-year-old Argentinian, a full international with his country, is a versatile attacker who is quick, skilful and has a great ability to link up with his teammates. He is also capable of operating as a playmaker."</p>

<p>Alvarez made 103 appearances in all competitions for Manchester City, scoring 36 goals and and winning six major trophies.</p>
