However, the Nigerian winger is looking to leave the club this summer with a move to Paris Saint-Germain on the cards before the Ligue 1 champions failed to make a 'genuine' proposal to Atalanta.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The report claims that the Gunners are preparing a bid worth €50 million (£42.5m/$55.7m) plus bonuses but could include Jakub Kiwior in the deal to lower the fee. A loan with an option to buy is also on the cards as the transfer window draws to a close.

Lookman had been left out of the Atalanta squad for the Serie A opener on Monday against Lecce on his own demand. As per the Sportitalia report, he also refused to participate in training on Wednesday, August 21 as he looks to force a move away as soon as possible.
