<p><a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/arsenal-player-ratings-vs-psg-bukayo-saka-william-saliba/bltc1fa3f169f0dcc05" target="_blank">The Gunners were knocked out of the competition by the French champions</a> at the semi-final stage on Wednesday, prompting Evra to post a video on X in which he stated he is good friends with Mikel Arteta and that his only problem with the club is their fans. </p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Evra said: "People are being really hard. I love Arteta – Mikel is a great friend. I think people have no problem with Arsenal players, people have a problem with their fans. They believe in anything. I even said I’m not sure I would do business with an Arsenal fan because they will promise you a lot of things. And it’s banter because people know. They say I’m anti-Gunners – I love Arsenal and you can’t hate your babies. It’s impossible to hate your babies."</p>

WHAT EVRA SAID

<p>Evra went on to claim that, for Arsenal, their defeat was the same old story of not being able to get over the line and win silverware. He said: "It’s always said the same story. So I’m sorry, it’s not like I’m trying to create the buzz with you guys, but I love you. Let’s get ready for the next season and I hope, for you, that Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur or Chelsea don’t win a trophy this year."</p>
