In an open training session Tuesday, the Sporting boss was asked about the French striker and whether or not he has ever made contact with Griezmann regarding a potential move to MLS.

"He's a great player. Fantastic... Big time quality. He's a world class player. If he's interested, then he'd be a good player to start recruiting," Vermes said.When asked if he's ever made contact with the striker, Vermes replied "no."
