Anthony Joshua in talks for 'serious investment' in Championship club as British boxing star reveals Premier League vision

<p>The heavyweight champion has discussed buying into Watford, his hometown club, and has a vision for them becoming a Premier League club, but says that "nothing has come of it yet".</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Joshua said: "That [Watford] was an opportunity that presented itself. Nothing's come of it yet. It's a serious investment. If it comes off it will be one that should do well. And if we don't do it then good luck to them anyway because they're a great team. WHAT JOSHUA SAID

<p>Watford have been a Championship club since 2022, after spending six of the previous seven seasons in the top flight. The interview with Joshua in which he reveals his interest also features some discussion of Saudi investment into the club.</p>
