<p>Inter Miami, who won the MLS Supporters' Shield last year under Gerardo Martino, brought in Mascherano as their new head coach ahead of the 2025 MLS campaign. The aim was to take a step forward and bring the MLS Cup home under the tutelage of the young Argentine manager.  </p>

<p>Things, however, have not gone as planned, as Lionel Messi and Co. have miserably failed in the current season. <p><strong>GOAL </strong>understands that the David Beckham-owned club have already begun their search for a new manager and have identified Club America manager Andre Jardine as Mascherano's potential replacement. Jardine has guided the Mexican club to three Liga MX titles and he also shares a close bond with Inter Miami's chief soccer officer, Alberto Marrero.</p>

DID YOU KNOW?

<p>Jardine's current contract with America expires in 2027 and if Miami push ahead with their plans to sign him, they will have to pay a whopping $5 million (£3.6m) in compensation to the Mexican side.</p>
