<p>Christensen has no intention of leaving Barcelona despite the club's desire to offload the former Chelsea star, according to a report from <a href="https://cadenaser.com/nacional/2025/06/23/christensen-quiere-seguir-si-o-si-en-el-barca-cadena-ser/" target="_blank"><em>Cadena SER</em></a>. The Danish centre-back still has one more year left on his Barca contract and he wishes to see it out.</p>

<p>The Catalans will have to reduce their wage bill and, according to <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/trouble-barcelona-la-liga-president-warns-sign-nico-williams-without-selling-cant-register-joan-garcia/bltf4998274a180d1bf" target="_blank">La Liga president Javier Tebas</a>, need to return to the 1:1 rule before they can <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/nico-deco-barcelona-chasing-williams-deal-agreeing-personal-terms-athletic-club-winger/blta28ad410b118502c" target="_blank">sign primary target Nico Williams</a>.
