<p>Per <a href="https://sportwitness.co.uk/manchester-united-in-the-mix-to-sign-as-roma-star-deal-can-take-off-at-e40m/" target="_blank">Il Messaggero</a>, United are interested in signing Svilar this summer as the club <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/zero-substance-andre-onana-transfer-rumours-man-utd-entertain-sale-right-offer-saudi-pro-league-linked-goalkeeper/blt224b4744d715932f" target="_blank">consider alternatives to Andre Onana</a>. Svilar has two years remaining on his deal and he is yet to agree new terms with the Serie A side, prompting suitors to explore his availability. Bayern Munich are also reportedly monitoring his situation. </p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The 25-year-old enjoyed a strong season at Roma as they finished fifth in Serie A; he made 51 appearances in all competitions, keeping 19 clean sheets. United are also said to have an interest in <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/man-utd-italian-club-torino-red-devils-goalkeeper-vanja-milinkovic-savic-andre-onana-replacement/blt9b5ff86b0c9eb3b3" target="_blank">Torino goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic</a>, with their scouts seemingly running the rule over the Italian top-flight. </p>

<p>Svilar would cost around €50 million, with Roma set to make a huge profit on a player they signed for free in 2022. His wage demands also appear more than achievable for United; he is reported to want around £60,000-per-week. </p>
