That led to a deluge of criticism on social media, with some saying "you couldn't script it".</p>

Indeed, <a href="https://x.com/OptaJoe/status/1910417674041012660" target="_blank">Opta</a> states that no goalkeeper has made more errors leading to goals for Premier League teams in all competitions since the start of last season than Onana's eight.</p>
