However, Newcastle have now revealed the reason for his absence. </p>

<p>Ahead of the game against Arsenal, the Magpies announced on X that Callum Wilson would be leading the line as their number nine, with <a href="https://x.com/NUFC/status/1924107604013244776" target="_blank">Isak having suffered a minor groin injury</a>. Newcastle have not confirmed the extent of the striker's injury and whether he would be available for the season finale against Everton. </p>
