<p>After an initial bid was deemed insufficient by the French club, Milan are preparing a new offer worth €22 million (£19m/$26m), including bonuses, according to<a href="https://www.calciomercato.com/notizie/milan-nuova-offerta-per-doue-pubill-va-all-atletico-madrid/blt5cf49ffd4225fa9c" target="_blank"><em> Calciomercato</em></a>. Strasbourg, however, continue to hold out for €30m (£26m/$35m) for the right-back.</p>

<p>Milan had shown interest in Almería defender Pubill, but he has since agreed to join<a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/atletico-madrid-pounce-snap-up-wolves-ac-milan-target-twelve-million-euros-deal-right-back/blt5081668ac4c4ef7a" target="_blank"> Atletico Madrid </a>after they swooped in to challenge Wolves, who <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/wolves-submit-eur15m-bid-spanish-right-back-wanted-by-barcelona-and-ac-milan/bltd088a7a1c78971f1" target="_blank">reportedly made a superior bid for him</a>. Coach Massimiliano Allegri has been determined to strengthen on both sides of the defence and hopes Doue, the brother of Paris Saint-Germain attacker Desire, will fill in at right-back.</p>
