<p>The Serie A side are <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/marcus-rashford-move-ac-milan-gathers-pace-man-utd-outcast-holds-talks-italian-giants-recruitment-team-loan-deal/blta1629ef36855aa5a" target="_blank">in talks with the Red Devils over a possible temporary move</a> for the England attacker, but <a href="https://www.thetimes.com/sport/football/article/marcus-rashford-man-united-transfer-news-garnacho-gtqcgm9b7?t=1736371683202" target="_blank"><em>The Times</em></a> reports they are only willing to pay half of his salary. United, meanwhile, are demanding any team hoping to sign him on loan will have to cover most of his £325,000-per-week earnings.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Even paying half of Rashford's salary would see him become their highest-paid player, as Alvaro Morata is currently top of the wage bill with a reported £150,000 per week. United may look to ship Rashford elsewhere if Milan stand firm, with Napoli and <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/juventus-turn-down-offer-sign-marcus-rashford-request-man-utd-team-mate-instead/bltca03d2801ba63fbc" target="_blank">Juventus also said to be interested</a>.</p>

<p>United need to offload Rashford before they can bring in any new signings to strengthen Ruben Amorim's squad.
