'An absolute gent' - Ryan Reynolds sends emotional message to former Wrexham favourite as club 'legend' announces retirement

<p>Former Wrexham star Ben Tozer has announced his retirement from the game at the age of 35. The defender played a key role in Wrexham's back-to-back promotions in 2023 and 2024, making 136 appearances for the club and scoring seven goals along the way.</p><p></p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Tozer became a real favourite at Wrexham <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/wrexham-successor-ben-tozer-ryan-reynolds-rob-mcelhenney-fund-transfer-raid-wigan-jason-kerr-phil-parkinson/blt023762bd350c5790" target="_blank">before his departure</a>, and the club were quick to react to the news. "A fantastic career and wishing you the very best in your retirement," the club posted on X. Reynolds has also added a more personal touch with a message to Tozer on social media.</p><p></p>
