<p>The 23-year-old has reportedly agreed to stay at Inter permanently, and the club is now working to seal a deal. WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Zalewski has featured in 12 matches for the club, scoring once and providing one assist. The hierarchy at Inter have appreciated his performances and now consider him as the backup to left-wing-back Federico Dimarco. The 23-year-old notably set up Inter's equaliser against fierce rivals AC Milan back in February, despite playing only 14 minutes.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Zalewski scored his first and so far only goal for Inter in their 2-0 win over Torino on Sunday. The victory moved them to within one point of league leaders Napoli, who were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Genoa. The Poland international has earned 27 caps and scored three goals for his country.</p>
