<p>Klopp, who <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/jurgen-klopp-last-ynwa-video-liverpool-boss-moved-emotional-goodbye-anfield-crowd-premier-league-final-day/blt7889e579ff09332d" target="_blank">severed ties with Premier League giants at Anfield in the summer of 2024</a>, is among those responsible for a vacancy opening up at the Red Bull Arena. Marco Rose has been <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/jurgen-klopp-rejects-erik-ten-hag-ruled-out-running-new-managerial-job-red-bull-chief/bltbe0b6f09ad2dd750" target="_blank">relieved of his duties with the Bundesliga giants</a>.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Klopp is <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/vibe-former-liverpool-boss-jurgen-klopp-surprises-fans-japan-visit-j-league-2-side-rb-omiya-ardija/bltd5c37e3980549183" target="_blank">now Head of Global Soccer for Red Bull</a>, meaning that he had a say in Rose being ushered through the exits. There are, however, no plans for the 57-year-old to step back into the dugout less than a year after <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/revealed-how-much-departures-jurgen-klopp-coaching-team-cost-liverpool-premier-league-giants-announce-record-pre-tax-loss-57m/blt95cfe4903c278f50" target="_blank">leaving those stresses behind on Merseyside.</a></p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Leipzig’s supervisory board chairman, Oliver Mintzlaff, told <a href="https://sport.sky.de/fussball/artikel/juergen-klopp-wird-laut-oliver-mintzlaff-definitiv-nicht-der-neue-trainer-in-leipzig/13340633/35311 " target="_blank"><em>Sky Deutschland</em></a> when asked about the chances of Klopp succeeding Rose: “I would do that before then. And nobody wants to see that. So I can rule that out 1000 per cent.”</p>

WHAT RB LEIPZIG SAID

<p>Ex-Hungary international Zsolt Low has taken over on an interim basis, with there no plans to hand him a permanent coaching role either - having left a post alongside Klopp in order to take on caretaking duties.</p>

<p>Mintzlaff added: “With a very, very high probability, I would say it's almost 100 per cent he won't be our head coach here next season.” Leipzig sit sixth in the Bundesliga table with seven games left to take in, as they sweat on European qualification for 2025-26.</p>
